HonOgiek: Geographical Indication for Traditional Honey of Mau Forest
The International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE) and the members of a locally-based cooperative of beekeepers carry out a 3-years project with the aim of strengthening the capacities of value chain actors to establish and promote a geographical indication for the unique range of forest honey originating from the Mau mountain forest, in Eastern Kenya.

Mise en place de l'indication géographique Wagashi Gassirè
Le projet de mise en place et développement de l’indication géographique (IG) Wagashi Gassirè du Borgou-Alibori est mis en œuvre par le Centre d’Actions pour l’Environnement et le Développement Durable (ACED). Ce projet financé sur 30 mois par la Facilité IG vise à finaliser la mise en place d'une indication géographique sur le Wagashi Gassirè, un fromage issu du savoir faire des femmes peuhles dans le nord du Bénin, et soutenir le développement économique de la filière.

Operationalisation of the Karoo lamb geographical indication
The project for operationalisation of the Karoo Lamb GI is implemented by the Karoo Lamb Consortium. This 3 years project aims to operationalise the Karoo Lamb GI, to improve the management of the GI consortium, and to ensure that the GI rules are properly implemented and verified. The project has contributed to the official registration of Karoo Lamb as geographical indication in South Africa in 2023.

Le projet d’appui à la mise en place d’une indication géographique (IG) madd de Casamance est mis en œuvre par l’ONG Economie Territoires et Développement Services (ETDS). Ce projet financé sur trois ans par la Facilité IG a pour objectif d’appuyer l’enregistrement et le développement de l’IG madd de Casamance, et la structuration de sa chaîne de valeur.
